Class of 2014

 classes of Hickman County High School.  Some of their accomplishments are as follows:


  • Took over 400 college classes during their four years of high school.

  •  Earned over 1,100 college credit hours.

  • The class had a 19.8 overall average ACT composite score.

  • Earned approximately $1.6 million in scholarship money to be used throughout their college careers.

  • Hickman County KEA Scholarship- Sydney Harrison & Will Mullins- $200

  • Frank Brazzell Memorial Scholarship- Johanna Fuller- $500

  • Dylan Lynn Pittman Memorial Scholarship- Allie Thomas & Jessica Cooley- $1,000

  • James H. Phillips Memorial Scholarship- Taylor Sanderson- $350

  • James and Joe Lamkin Scholarship- Samantha Handley- $20,000

  • Outstanding Scholar Scholarship- Allie Thomas- $1,000

  • HCHS Alumni Scholarship- Garrett Lacewell & Breann Jones- $250

  • Hickman County Retired Teacher’s Scholarship- $700

  • Western Kentucky University’s Regents Scholarship- Makenna LeBlanc- full tuition for four years ( roughly $40,000 )

  • University of Kentucky’s Otis A. Singletary Scholarship- Ryan Harpole- $90,000

  • University of Kentucky’s William C. Parker Diversity Scholarship- Alex Simmons & James Bolen- $42,000

  • WKCTC’s Trustee Scholarship- Cayce Brockwell- $15,000

  • WKCTC’s McCracken County Medical Alliance Scholarship- $5,000

  • WKCTC’s George Beiderwell Scholarship- Johanna Fuller & Michael Galuszka- $5,000

  • WKCTC’s Good Ole Boys Scholarship- Michael Galuszka- $10,000

  • University of Kentucky College of Engineering at Paducah’s PJC Engineering Diversity Scholarship and Stipend- Zach Morris- $30,000

  • University of Mississippi’s Academic Excellence Scholarship- Sydney Harrison- $73,192

  • University of Mississippi’s Class Valedictorian Scholarship- Sydney Harrison- $6,000

  • University of Mississippi’s Holmes Scholarship- Sydney Harrison- $10,000

  • Murray State University’s Provost Scholarship- Lukas Rice- $3,000

  • Murray State University’s Donald J Leitch Scholarship- Lukas Rice- $1,000

  • Murray State University’s Regents Scholarship- Koty Shelton- $6,000

  • Murray State University’s Rhode’s Scholar Scholarship- Mykala Waggoner- $1,000


** The Class of 2014 also has six students who have committed to serving in the armed forces. Upon doing so, they will have the opportunity to take advantage of almost $150,000 worth of educational funding. They students and their respective branches are as follows:
