HCHS Sets Registration/Orientation Dates
Registration dates for the upcoming school year have been set for middle school and high school students. Registration for 11th and 12th grade students is set for Thursday, July 26th from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the front lobby.  Registration for 8th, 9th, and 10th grade students is set for Friday, July 27th from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the front lobby.  Registration for all new students in grades 7-12 is set for Monday, July 30th from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in the main office.  Orientation has been set for all 7th graders for Thursday, August 2nd at 5:00 p.m. in the gymnasium. 
HCS Hosts Summer Feeding Program
Hickman County Schools is participating in the Summer Food Service Program during the week of June 25-29. Meals will be provided to all children without charge and are the same for all children regardless of race, color, national origin, sex, age or disability, and there will be no discrimination in the course of the meal service. Meals are free for anyone 18 years and younger.

HCES Library is selling a limited number of Falcon ornaments.  Each is 3 1/4 inch acrylic with our HC Falcon.  $7.00 each and comes in own gift box.  Please see Mrs. Taylor at the elementary library to purchase.

Students and staff returning to Hickman County Elementary from spring break had an unexpected surprise Monday!

Safe Schools Planning
To learn what we do in the name of safety each and every day, read Superintendent Henderson's letter regarding our renovation plans over the next year that have already been approved by our Board this past fall and some helpful suggestions of what parents can do in case of any emergency.  
HCES Governor's Cup
Hickman County Elementary placed second recently in the Governor’s Cup District 4 competition at Symsonia Elementary School in Graves County.  HCES was led by the quick recall team, which placed first overall by defeating the host, Symsonia, in the final two matches, while several students scored well in various subjects.  
Archery Success!
The Hickman County Archery Team continued its spectacular showings for the 2017-18 season as six individuals placed among the top qualifiers Saturday at the regional competition in Marshall County.   Those placing among the top finishers in their respective categories include: from left, James Clark, Lane Cunningham, Callie Douglas, Dallas Williford, Cora Clark, and Brooklyn Naranjo.

Teressa Dowdy of Clinton Bank recently presented a check to Richard Todd, principal of Hickman County Elementary School. The check, totaling $909.70, is proceeds from the bank’s Falcon Cards and will be used at HCES for student rewards and classroom materials.

Counseling services available

Mountain Comprehensive Care Center in Benton, KY provides school-based services for the Hickman County School district.

William Russelburg is the Mental Health Associate for our district. Mr. Russelburg has a Bachelor of Science degree in Sociology from Murray State University and he has 25 years experience working in the field of Mental Health as a Case Manager with children and adults.

Hickman County Elementary School recently awarded students for perfect attendance. Students who had missed no more than a half day of school were honored during an assembly, and received prizes that had been donated by community members. Prizes donated included two bicycles, two $25 Wal Mart gift cards, and $220 in cash.
