Pennies for Patients Oct 23-31

Dear Parents,

Red Ribbon Week is October 23-31. Red Ribbon Week is celebrated in over 100,000 schools and organizations nationwide making it the most successful drug prevention event ever held. Hickman County Elementary would like to help make children aware that staying healthy and drug free is a positive choice they can make themselves. This year the following activities will occur:

****Love Yourself- Be Drug Free****

Monday, Oct. 26- “Wear Red Day” Students are encouraged to wear the color red to represent a drug-free school. Each student will be given a treat promoting a drug-free lifestyle.

Tuesday, Oct. 27- “Join The Fight Against Drugs” Students can wear camouflage to school. Each student will be given a treat promoting a drug-free.

Wednesday, Oct. 28- “Follow Your Dreams, Don’t Do Drugs” Students are allowed to wear pajamas to school. Each student will be given a treat promoting a drug-free lifestyle.

Thursday, Oct 29- “My Future is Bright” Students are allowed to wear sunglasses to school. Each student will be given a treat promoting a drug-free lifestyle.

Friday, Oct. 30- “Hats Off To Drugs” Students are allowed to wear a hat to school. Students will receive a treat promoting a drug-free lifestyle.

Each day all students will receive a treat/surprise to promote a drug-free lifestyle. All treats and prizes are being funded by KAPS Resource Center, First Community Bank, Clinton Bank, PTO, and Agency of Substance Abuse Policy.

**Each grade level will receive information about living a drug-free lifestyle during their guidance lessons.
