TODAY

SENIORS

All remaining seniors will be taking the Work Keys test today.  Seniors, please check with your teachers to know what day and which computer lab you will be testing.

CHAMBER LEADERSHIP

There will be a Chamber Leadership Project Work Day today from 12:10 to 3 pm in the high school computer lab.  Be sure to bring your notebooks with you.  We will also be taking our yearbook photo at the beginning of the Work Day.  Please dress accordingly.

 

VACCINE CLINIC

Students, please remember to turn in your forms to the office ASAP if you want to participate in the vaccine clinic here at the school.

 

MS BASKETBALL

Good Luck to the MS Lady Falcons tonight.  They will play in the district championship tonight at 5:30 pm.  

THIS WEEK

SENIORS

Seniors who purchased Parent Pages, all photos and letters are due ASAP!! Additional parent notes are due by Friday.

 

TAG Team

There will be a TAG Team meeting this Friday, January 12th in the old band room during high school lunch.  Please bring your lunch with you to the meeting.

SOPHOMORES & JUNIORS

The Kentucky Center Governor’s School for the Arts summer program is for students who are very talented in one of the following art forms: architecture & design, creative writing, dance, drama, film & photography, instrumental music, musical theatre, visual art or vocal music.  The deadline to apply is this Friday, January 12th.  More information is available in the guidance office.  

ACT

The deadline to register for the February 10th ACT is this Friday, January 12th.  Register online at www.act.org.  The cost is $46.  Juniors & seniors on free/reduced lunch may request a fee waiver to cover the cost of the registration fee (only 2 fee waivers total can be used).  Sophomores & juniors wanting to take dual-credit next year - if you  haven’t met benchmarks it would be a good idea to take the February ACT.  

UPCOMING

Seniors

The MSU scholarship application is due this coming Monday, January 15th.

HOMECOMING ELECTION

Students will vote for Homecoming queen next week January 16-19.  Ballots will be cast in the library.  Voting will cease with the 3 o’clock bell on Friday, January 19th.  Candidates were announced in December and are posted on the bulletin board outside the library.  Any student in grades 9-12 may vote.

 

PLAY PRACTICE

Play practice will be January 16th and January 17th right after school.

FALCON FRIENDS

Falcon Friends Group 1 will meet on Monday, January 22nd.

Falcon Friends Group 2 will meet on Wednesday, January 24th.

Please get your lunch at the high school, and meet at the back of the school to load the van on your assigned day.

YEARBOOK SALES

After today pay $48 in full anytime by Feb. 1 to purchase your yearbook. Other payment options are available this year. Pay half down now and the other half by Feb. 1, or pay $10 down now (non-refundable) and make monthly payments of $8 until paid in full by Feb. 1.  Seniors may add a name plate for an additional $5.00.

Have you noticed our new grab-n-go breakfast cart? Soon, we will be hosting a fun kick-off event centering around grab-n-go breakfast with our new cart. Please stay tuned for a future announcement of when that will be.
