• A copy of the first page of the parent’s (and the student’s if he/she has one) 2013 income tax return (or at least know what tax form was filed, parent’s address - has to be exactly what is listed on the tax return - and how the parents filed their taxes – ex: single, married filing jointly, etc.)
• The student’s and the parent’s PIN number (4 digit number) that was used to electronically sign the FAFSA when it was originally filled out
• If the student has received something from the college he/she is planning on attending stating the student has been selected for verification (most students probably have gotten selected for verification), he/she will also need to bring those documents
With this information, the student should be able to update and complete his/her FAFSA; however, if parents would rather take care of it and would like help, they are more than welcome to come up to the school that day anytime between 8:30 and 3:30 to work with Lori. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact the guidance office.
