= Berea College’s prestigious Carter G. Woodson Legacy Award honors outstanding African American juniors who embody Dr. Woodson’s spirit in the areas of academic excellence, civic engagement, and community service. Students must exhibit academic promise (GPA range of 3.25 – 4.0 and ACT range of 20-30) and have outstanding qualities like persistence and leadership.
= Andreus & Akacia were invited to a reception at Berea honoring the award winners and were also given a plaque and certificate acknowledging their achievement. In addition they will have the opportunity to apply for admission early as a senior and, if accepted, receive Berea’s Tuition Promise Scholarship, which guarantees they will never pay tuition.
