Governor’s Scholars Program  

The Governor’s Scholars Program is a 5 week, residential summer program for outstanding Kentucky students completing their junior year of high school that is held on the campuses of Murray State University, Morehead State University and Northern Kentucky University.   GSP’s mission is to enhance Kentucky’s next generation of civic and economic leaders.  In order to participate in the program, students competed at the district level and then on a state-wide level.  Selection for the program is highly competitive, with an application process similar to that of prestigious college and universities.  Participants will receive a full-paid tuition scholarship for four years (with a value of at least $40,000) if the students have the ACT score and GPA required by the college they choose to attend.
